This was a great way to end our summer tour. The Buddy Brown Festival is a local blues fest in Blue Lake, CA and features Humboldt county's best blues bands. We were honored to be the opening act for this great, laid back, event. The food was awesome, good beer, a really nice crowd, and the organizers, Humboldt Folk Life Society, really did a great job. The sound guys were awesome. We had a great stage sound and our friends in the audience said it sounded great out there too.
We enjoyed listening to some of the other bands before heading out - we have some great local blues bands! The show was broadcast on KHSU. As we were leaving an audience member said he was on the way to the beach when he heard the concert over the radio and decided to ditch the beach and attend the festival instead.
Our next concert? Johnny and I will undoubtedly line up some shows together next summer, so stay tuned. We will probably have a summer schedule posted by early spring. I will play solo at the Art Walk in Arcata in September, but for now that is it because school is starting and I will be busy doing school recitals and stuff. Thank you, to all those who followed us this summer!
This was taken the day we made the Meeting Johnny Walker video.

Our show at the Graeagle Outpost, in front of Mill Pond, was definitely a highpoint in out Summer 2012 Plumas County Tour ("we'd go farther but can't afford the gas"). The audience generously showed their appreciation with well over $200 in tips - Thank you! We will definitely afford the gas to return next year.

Morris Graves Museum - show
I had a great time at the Morris Graves Museum in Eureka, CA on Jan. 7th. This is a really beautiful place to play and the community wide Arts Alive event brings a warm and generous audience. It's a fun venue because people walk all over town listening to local musicians and viewing local art hosted by the merchants. People may just wander by, stop and listen for a few, or even stay a while. It is fun and festive. Thank you Kelly for the great photos!
